Randy W
When GUZ mention "call-in" letter, its usually good news right? its not something like NOID etc? Watch for 2 things - the phrases "call-in", and "bring your passport" (or I guess nowadays, "mail in your passport"). These pretty well give away the outcome, since they need the passport in order to affix the visa to it. Link to comment
ning1986
Well I asked GUZ via email if it is "call-in" they said yes, and that my wife will receive the letter soon. I hope it is same as "mail in your passport" we'll see in a few days I guess. Link to comment
ning1986
Good news, Today my wife has finally received the "Final Processing/Call-in Letter" On there are specific instructions on where to send her passport. And it says follow the instructions on a website, specifically http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/ems-cod-waybill-instructions.html I'm not so familiar with this process, has anyone gone through this, please let me know so we don't make any additional mistakes. In all, this is good news, I'm really happy we're finally seeing the light at the end of this tunnel. Thanks Ning Edited September 28, 2011 by ning1986 (see edit history) Link to comment

But everytime I hear about this new send back procedure, I grumble curse words because just last year they made my wife fly to GZ, didnt tell her she would have to turn in papers, wait 2 days, then pick up her pink slip before she could go home. She had to buy two extra nights of hotel at rack rate and clothes for nothing...They had just started the new turn in papers process 2 days before interview, hadn't made any notification , and applied it to call backs as well for no purpose.
