Questions about Form I-134

Hello All,

 

We need advice again.

 

1. In Form I-134 Affidavit of Support for K1, Question 11 says "I (intend) (do not intend) to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3". Should we choose "intend" or "do not intend"? What did you do when you filled in the Form?

 

2. Do we need to have the Form I-134 notarized in bank or something?

1) Q 11 is always confusing, keep in mind I-134 is for all types of NON-Immigrant visas, in most cases since there is no immigrant intent the sponsor can specify how much and how long they are willing to sponsor. I used this as a template: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

 

No check either box it does not apply for an Immigrant intent visa and noted "N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )"

 

2) Notarization requirement was dropped around 2007.
