Beachey
I've managed to sent them the resume as soon as possible, how soon will GZ respond? Next week will be one month since we emailed my wife's resume. I am planning on sending an email inquiry then. I believe Xiaozhu got her letter 51 days after her interview which is the quickest I have heard. I have so far successfully fought the urge to email them weekly. Is there any evidence that contacting them too often hurts your case? Link to comment

Crazybanana: No one can say how soon they will respond. Wait a week or two and send them an e-mail on their offical e-mail form. Good luck to you two....just hang in there and don't get too excited, she will get the visa. tsap seui Link to comment

Lee VD
I would just give it 2 months to work through and if you haven't heard back just call the NVC weekly and see whats up. Thats what I did and then boom, found out the callback letter was sent out. Link to comment
bullmastiff
she has no background at all. high school education. worked retail for a short time. hasn't work for the past three years. Since she has not worked at all the past three years, they may want to know how she has supported herself so far ?Stay home wife ( like mine ) , rich parent(s) , be someone's else concubine " Bao Er Nai " ( this will cause a rejection since it may be considered as prostitution ,,,, etc.... ) . If the last one is true, then, you should consult with an attorney to consider submitting a waiver . No, I disagree that they will reject anyone for any reason. On the contrary, I think they are smarter and more professional than we credit them for . Just think of it , they have many Chinese specialists inside plus these officers speak Mandarin extremely well . They must have studied Chinese for many years. Don't worry, you won't get rejected if there is nothing wrong. Just put it concisely and to the point not to leave things to wonder ... I assume she is not a CCP member ? crazybanana
no, she's not a CCP member. I sent her money every month. She wants to be a housewife so I don't ask her to work. I really thought I was gonna get a pink slip this time. I had plan my time off work around this day. now it all got pushed back indefinitely. I hope the call in letter comes soon because traveling is gonna be difficult and expensive between Oct to Feb. Link to comment

After you sent in the resume, did your wife receive another blue slip from the consulate indicating additional processing required? No, no additional blue slip. I actually was able to get an email back from them saying they did not need anymore information. We are waiting on the SAO from DC. I ended up sending an email the day after I wrote this. The answer I got was they would contact my wife when they were ready to proceed. Waiting and doing nothing is hard, I want to do something. However, I recognize making a nuisance of myself is not going to help so back to waiting................ Link to comment
