foobaz123
I've scanned one of the two copies I have here of the so-called white book Marriage Certificate. However, I'm wondering if I should send the original, we have two more after all with one additional copy here in the States, or should I send the printed version of my scanned copy? I presume scanned copies would be fine for the other various evidence showing I've been there and such. Various movie tickets, transportation tickets, boarding passes, wire transfers from when we setup our apartment and other things I'm sure I'm forgetting at the moment. Link to comment
Ryan H
Copy is fine for USCIS. I'm sure it's fine if you print what you scanned and sent that. If USCIS needs anything original, they will specifically ask for it. Link to comment

dnoblett
Copies are fine for USCIS per the I-130 instructions, copies are also fine for NVC if you opt in to electronic processing due to the fact that you will email them PDF scans. The origional and notary translation will be needed at the time ov visa interview document turn in. Link to comment

Tomorrow I'm going to go pick up a certified copy of the divorce decree as well. I have the file copy but I figured a more officialish one wouldn't hurt. Link to comment
chengkai
For anyone filing DCF, I offered both the copy and the original, and the VO took the copy. Copies are fine in Guangzhou as well. Link to comment

That's a good strategy to allow you to KEEP the original, but they DO need to be able to SEE the original. Be sure to have it on hand. Link to comment
