Seems like a competition between China and India, the population of India is 1.21 billion which grew 181 million over same period, at that rate and India will overtake China in less than 10 years. At least China has more land and Cities seem to be less crowded.

I hope this is not the case, but in the areas with larger populations and less healthcare opportunities there is the potential for an eventual epidemic. This will be a challenge for the central government and hopefully they support their population properly.
