Need to Ship Reflexology Equip.

Recommended Posts

My wife is opening a Reflexology and Massage Center. We have looked at the Reflexology chairs here in America.

They are just your basic chair, not much more. The new chairs from a Shanghai company appear more professional.

Not only do they look better, but the newer ones come with a monitor for each chair. Watch sports while getting a foot massage.

I know some will say the quality might be in question. I remember the last time I had reflexology done in Nanning, China.

I have got to say, the quality of those chairs are not much different then what is available here in the US.

We will order the chairs from China if at all possible. The one problem is getting them here.

The chair manufacturer said for our quantity (need only six) we need to find a way to ship the chairs ourselves.

Does any one who is now in China know of a way or even a service we could use to help us ship any items we buy in China?

I went through the research of this about 2 years ago when my then wife wanted to import massage tables. All I can remember is that we talked to import brokers and finally found one willing to take on the entire arrangement which seems to include the import, customs, and transportation. They tend to have the connections to do it. In our case, it would of gone something like: Arrive at Port of Miami; then ship to Fort Lauderdale by truck.

Or you can find a company which imports and sells them, like:

I can't find the website we had frequented which had many companies importing from china but the above appear to be similar.

I would think the only issue is the power requirements.

The chairs you list are nothing like the ones she wants for her Reflexology.

That has been the problem, finding an outlet here that has anything but the basic chair.

Power she says is not an issue, they sell all over the world and know power requirements.

So we are looking for an import broker. If you find your links, let me know.

Thanks

Double Check to make sure the chairs can run on 60 Hz (USA). China is 50 Hz. This is where you will have an issue. They likely are 220 V but you can always run a 220 V line rather than your standard 110V US outlet.
