Hello everyone,

My Fiancee's daughter and her mother for that matter, have one name on their birth certificates and another

name on their ID cards. The Family name is the same on both documents. The name that was changed is their first

names. I know on Line 7 of the I-129F form, it asks for other names used. That is for the mother. What about the

daughter? Is this a big deal. What is the protocol for this?

We went CR/1 route do I cant speak for K1, but the only identification the consulate asked for was birth certificate and pasport.

So, I wouldn't worry about id card, but I'd make sure birth certificate and passport names matched, or if they don't explain in the original document you submit.
