clarejinjin
Hi Guys.We received notice(see below) and I called them just to be sure. I talked to a lady, VERY nice and she told me this: NVC will not send any more communication to me. They were "packing up" all of our information and will send it to GUZ. I guess that means all the original papers we sent in before we OPTIN'ed for electronic processing. I then asked her if everything has been approved, she told me yes, all your paper work has been approved and CONGRADULATIONS!!!She told me the next thing that will happen is that GUZ will send Packet #4 to us with the Interview date.QUESTION: For you that have filed electronicly, how long until you hear from GUZ with the Packet #4 and the Interview date? FROM NVCDear Sir/Madam: All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified. The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa. The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview. Any other info you may have will be appreaciated!!!!!!!Thanks!!Steve Link to comment
dnoblett
It all depends on what NVC did with your paperwork, if you did not opt in to the newer electronic processing, then the normal path for the paperwork is to be shipped to China where it may get delayed for up to 3 months in customs, after which they send out packet 4 and schedule interview a month or so after sending out packet 4 (P4). If you opted in all paperwork is sent to consulate electronically with P4 sent out shortly after and interview a month or so after leaving NVC. Again it depends on Guangzhou, they may want the physical paperwork which in a normal OPTIN case would be brought into the consulate by the beneficiary when being interviewed, NVC may have noted that you send the physical papers to them and that they have shipped the papers to the consulate so may wait for the physical file to clear customs. So it is anyone's guess. 1-2 months if by Normal OPTIN electronic process.3-4 months if by older NVC Ship Case to Consulate. Link to comment
