What happens if my invitation letter gets lost in the mail?

 

It is just shocking in the 21st century we can not go to the web sight to check on the status of our application.

 

Also I was looking at the consolate website and saw something like ...

 

additional email and questions may delay you inquiry.

 

What does this mean?

 

So if something gets lost in the mail I have no way of knowing?

You can call DOS Visa services in the USA to get the interview date.

If you have not received Packet 4, please contact the Immigrant Visa Unit of U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou by fax, mail or email, and request that it be resent. In some cases, it will be necessary to reschedule interviews for a later date. Please be sure to include the principal beneficiary¡¯s name and updated mailing address in Chinese characters, as well as the postal code and contact phone number.
