My beautiful Lao Po returns tomorrow!

The six month retirement trip is over. Xiaoyuan is in Guangzhou waiting for her plane back to the USA.

 

In the morning I fly to Los Angeles to bring her back to Montana. We have a nice hotel for her first day back in the USA.

If anyone ever asks, this sort of extended separation is NOT good even under necessary circumstances. It will take a while to rebuild and then continue improving our relationship. Even though we did not separate for marital problems, the first few hours were truly an awkward reintroduction to each other. ...fortunately, we seem to be over that and revisiting the ground that we need to revisit.

 

It will be interesting to see if she asks me to cut off my new beard. The very first thing she said was cut, cut, cut. I told her that we would not cut it for at least 3 days. We'll see...
