katnreno
Hello Everyone: My wife is doing fantastic here in America. We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary this past Saturday, she has a new job that she loves, she obtained her driver license and has a car, we are currently looking at homes and just started trying for a baby. My question is; Do we/I need to file anything in the state (Wisconsin) we live in so that they are aware of our marriage? Edited April 26, 2010 by katnreno (see edit history) Link to comment
dnoblett
No, nothing is needed to be filed with regards to marriage status, all states recognize marriages certs from anywhere. As for moving, you do need to file an AR-11 and I-865 anytime you move, be it across the street or across country. AR-11 can be done on-lineI-865 is done by mail. AR-11 Online AR-11 I-865 Link to comment
