In these past months, I've... *** Had fantasies of me wearing a green hat - dai lv mao zi - ´÷ÂÌñ×Ó*** Had fantasies of Lao Po wearing the hat (What color to the gals wear?)*** Taken care of our daughter during Christmas & Spring breaks*** Had hernia surgery*** Put down and buried my dear dog, Sammi*** Built an addition to house Lao Po's new kitchen*** Fretted over the possible loss of my job in a few months*** Struggled with money issues for the first time in many years Extended separations are gawd awful tough! I agree with you about the separation -- a few people told us we should have waited to get the CR-1 visa because it expires 3 months before we could have gotten the 10-year GC. However it would have required us to be apart for ~4 months and we decided the 4 months together was worth more than having to pay/do the Removal of Conditions. Link to comment

My Lao po and I have been apart for six months waiting for the US Consulate interview for the CR-1...no word yet except the petition is in PRC Customs. This sux! Link to comment

Geeeeesh! Definitely not recommended. Well - being one of those who recommended that you give her 1000% support in what she wanted to do -- I am very happy that the "ordeal is nearly over". You should be proud that you supported her, took care of the homefront - and was the anchor that she needed and expected. I know you didn't do it for mileage - but you have a "Ton" of banked "wife miles"....to use up as you choose. Again, my hat's off to you for your support of her - regardless of the color! (I noticed when I lived in CHina there were'nt a lot of people wearing John Deere hats! Link to comment
