Let the sweating begin!

Well, I'm getting all of the evidence of our ongoing relationship together and the irrational questioning has begun. Should I include a picture of all of us together on Christmas even if my Mom happens to be wearing a fur coat in the picture because what if the immigration officer is a strong supporter of PETA and rejects our application on principle???

Sigh...

It's gonna be a long few months.

:roller: --- Here's hoping you get the conditions removed easily W/O an interview being required.

I thought this was the easiest of all the steps in the immigration process. They are mainly interested that the marriage is still intact and going strong. They won't give a rats ass about your mother's fur coat. I didn't send any photos. Here is what we sent.

Dear USCIS examiner:

My removal of conditions is being sent in at the end of this month. Thanks for the info, I will try to follow a similar format. I hope we don't run into problems because we still don't own anything together. Does being a beneficiary on life insurance and bank accounts count for anything?

I attached pictures of us together as several different places such as vacations to Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Key West, Bryce Canyon, etc. Probably a dozen pics printed on 2 pages.

That is an excellent example of the kinds of things to include.

So far I have included our taxes, bank statements, mutual funds, retirement accounts, not the bonds (you can't own bonds jointly, apparently), insurance, life insurance beneficiary status, and tons of pictures. She is the liable party for our DSL because, well, because I already owned the house and all of the utilities before we met so this is the only one that she could take.

I also included information about our train-wreck of a business. I felt that I needed to include this because my Sweetie we were both officers of the corporation. And also, because we lost so much money at the business, our taxable income looks like I took a huge pay cut last year unless you consider our epic failure at entrepreneurship.

Our neighbor has offered to write us a letter. She sees us together all the time and has known us for years. I've got some friends to hit up too, but I'm nervous about asking mom and dad. I'm worried that they will not be perceived as credible sources.

Minister, I think you have done a good job to collect enough evidence. My suggestion is if you paste a few pictures on several pieces of paper there will be space on the paper for you to label people's identification in the pictures, which is a good thing, although not mandatory. This is what we did for my I751. Our home didn't have my name at that time since we didn't know this would be a good evidence to remove my conditions. I have never thought of getting hubby's property so when he mentioned that we could go to the court and add my name to the title, I have never cared. I didn't marry my man for money, house, car or any material concept, although if he was poor, I certainly would not have married to him since myself was not poor and I was not looking for a man to live on me. :D I got my 10-year greencard three months after hubby sent out the application without our house title being changed. We have other things jointly though, so this house didn't matter.

I believe you guys will have a very smooth procedure.
