But Bank of China always worked for me. I dont recall the fee though. Link to comment

Kyle
I've used my card (credit union debit) without any fee from Minsheng ÖйúÃñÉúÒøÐÐ, Bank of China, and Merchants. I agree with shadeOgray. It is wise to inform all of your American money sources that you'll be traveling overseas. I had multiple problems (Internet purchase delays and automatic refunding/fraud alerts with PayPal and Capital One until I called them and had them attach a memo stating that I was living abroad. Stepbrow
I used my debit card at the Bank of China in Shenyang. It worked without a problem. I did let my credit union know that I was going to China though. Good luck Michael. I just realized that you are still in GZ. There is a Bank of China just a block or two from the consulate. I used my debit card there too. To get there, go the corner that the Weston Hotel is on and go west for two blocks. The bank is located on the north east corner of that intersection. Should I try the Bank of China Bank of China - wouldn't allow any of my credit cards to withdraw -- only my BOC ATM. HSBC and CCB were limited on foreign cards to 3000 RMB a day. FYI - BofC in the middle of 2007 changed from 5000 to 20000/25000 RMB per day for the BOC card. FYI Link to comment
Michael
I do not understand Chinese. I have to have someone help me use the ATM. Or find a machine that will work in English. Link to comment
