rongnjohn
Hello All, new member here & need a little help please. My Fiancee has traveled to her home province to gather the appropriate notarial certificates needed for the K1 submission. We understand that she needs the ¡°certified¡± translated birth certificate, which is 4 pages with the translation. Our confusion is: Does she need the Hukou ¨C ¡°Family registry or household history records¡± which are approximately 8 pages in length without translation and Y1200 in cost before translation. Are these documents needed in addition to the Notarial Birth certificate mentioned above? Any help would be appreciated as it is a 13 hour train ride to her province and we would like to get this right the first time. Many thanks, John Link to comment
dnoblett
Firstly this documentation is NOT needed at the time you file the I-129F it is needed at the visa interview 8-9 months from now. As for the required documents for the interview: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/guangzho...20Dec_%2009.pdf The Hukou typically is used to get a Notarial Birth Cert, the Hukou is not required to be translated and not required at the interview. rongnjohn
Thank you Dan for your prompt response. This has been over whelming for me, a native Englsih speaker. I can certainly understand the difficulty my Love has had wading through all of this. Thank you again, John Link to comment
