Redsunset52
Has anyone needed to renew their wife's Chinese passport since she has been in USA? If what is the process. She wants to visit family in china and her passport expired Link to comment
dnoblett
Common topic, in the AOS Immigrations forum. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showforum=14 Starts with VISITING the Chinese Consulate having Jurisdiction over where you live. Visiting an other consulate or the Embassy in DC if not the one for where you live may or may not allow you to enter to renew a passport. You cannot do it by mail. Link to comment
warpedbored
She must go to the Chinese consulate in person to have it done. If she took your family name when you married this would be a good time to have an addendum done in her passport to reflect that Link to comment
samsong
From the Chinese embassy's website; how to get a new Chinese passport (in Chinese).-- http://www.china-embassy.org/chn/hzqz/hzlxz/t84201.htm They caught me by surprise when mail orders were discontinued on January 1, 2007. Last year my wife had no problem getting her daughter a new Chinese passport at the embassy. Just go to the embassy or the consulate that has jurisdiction over the place you reside. Link to comment

If not, it will be a good driving experience for Xuemei. Link to comment

Haven't heard anymore about it. Last I heard, the Chinese were trying to decide on GA or San Francisco. Link to comment
