At least they don't need lawsuit tort reform in China. $0.30 for a bug in your Sprite. Would probably be at least $1.50 for actual damages and $2.3 million for mental anguish and emotional distress from a USA jury.

 

And heaven forbid they also found some mercury (alleged) in Sprite too.

Before in the US law suits where almost unheard of. The big move in the early 70s to become a lawyer caused the major law suits in the this country. I can not recall the Supreme Court Justice but he said 65% of the lawyers don't know or understand the law. Yet they practice it.

The attorney's are now lining up to sue Toyota for the recalls. Who said manufacturing is dead in the US? After the attornys manufacture all the pain and suffering up the US will continue its downward slide in morals and ethics.

You mean they aren't charging extra for the added protein? Damn, looks like a missed business opportunity to me!

Yes this was on the news when we arrived in Shanghai last week. We ate at a restaurant the first night and laopo ordered acoke and they recommended that she not drink it because there were problems reported about it lately. But they didnt know the exact problem then.

 

I didnt really believe it or think much of it. And being the coke lover I am, I continued to drink it over the next couple days. A few days into our trip we were in Jinhua and I took a drink out of a coke bottle and sure enough, I felt something with a weird texture going into my mouth. I quickly spit it out and it was a glob of gooey subtstance and contained a few small round balls, like seeds. I quickly went to our hotel room and brushed my teeth. No problems since.

Actually sueing each other is a long and cherished English tradition that was encouraged to reduce the number of duelings taking place. It goes back to the Puritan time in the USA.
