No More Visas for the State Department

Recommended Posts

In away that makes sense, it is DHS that operates the POE and DHS that approved visa petitions.

More than likely if this were to ever happen the IV and NIV units at the consulates and embassies will simply be handed over to DHS, as well as NVC and DOS Visa services in the USA. USCIS already has field offices located in many consulates and embassies, why not have them oversee the NIV and IV units.

So the Guz Visa Officers are looked down on, have a third-rate assignment, something young VOs have to SUFFER through for a few years at the very start of their careers. It is less a training assignment than a form of hazing. This article may give us a better understanding of the enemy, "the VO". Third-rate assignment, Suffer, Hazing.

Your right Dan, also this would end the turf war between DHS and DOS.
