Thanks!I-765 will provide you with an EAD card which allows taking a JOB. Having SSN is NOT work authorization, EAD or GREEN-CARD IS. Filing I-765 long with the I-485 costs NOTHING, simply note (c )(9 ) on I-765 as reason (Pending I-485) Link to comment
dnoblett Posted January 5, 2010 Report Share Posted January 5, 2010 Also if she want to be able to travel home while AOS is in process you should file I-131 for an AP doc, this too costs nothing when based on the pending I-485. Everything is sent together to the Chicago PO BOX. Again if wants to work while waiting for green-card, will need EAD which comes from filing I-765. Link to comment
