Great photos, Jesse!!!

I love these type photos of China....in some of them I could see the countryside with the hills. I am not a fan of city's be they in China or America...give me the countyside. You are a lucky man to have had the experience of this trip. Thanks for sharing. I could care less if I ever see another city in China, this is what I want to see...and MORE OF IT!!

What is the story behind them now? Relatives friends or what?

edit: Yep I agree with TSP on that one my wife want me hug those skyscrapers in Beijing but I just can't get into it. Once you have seen them that is it they are all the same. The air seems to so fresh and clear too. Is it always that way there?

All of the people we met, were at random. Lan found this remote village on the Internet, and one of the local farmers was advertising to let rooms at his large home. There were shared showers and bathrooms, and his wife cooked for us.

We did a lot of hiking around the area for several days, and visited 5 or six different villages in that time. I recall walking through the rice fields in one area and we saw a young boy, probably 4-5 years old working with his mother in the field. He was swinging a heavy hoe.

Lan called to him, and said she had candy for him. He looked at his mother, who laughed and told him to go. He ran all the way over in two unmatching shoes. So cute, so precious!

Hope you don't mind that I resized...

Not at all. They are too big for the screen. Thanks....wish I knew how to do it here? How did you do it?

You should be able to resize your pics from your camera settings. I usually do it after I shot and download to my computer; otherwise, I must use a photo program.

I deleted some that Dennis resized so they would be easier to see. If I took some that haven't been redone let me know and I'll put them back.

Dennis if you get them all resized I'll delete the big ones.

Great pictures Jesse. Looks like a beautiful place.
