bingtian Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 My parents' package (through DHL) was delivered to Guangzhou on 10/19/09 and I keep calling DOS and finally today I got the news that the package/information was received by Guangzhou on Dec 7. What is the general time frame for my parents to receive the interview date? Thank you in advance for any feedback. Waiting sucks!!! Link to comment
dnoblett Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 If by DHL depends. How do you know was delivered? Tracked on DHL? If tracked using DHL, it can take the consulate up to 3 months to "Receive" the package, after that and it can take a couple of weeks for them to send out Packet 4 (Invitation Packet, with interview date). It tends to take a few days for the courier service to transport the file from NVC to China however after arriving in China, in many cases it gets stuck in customs hold for up to 3 months.
