How do I track my case online

Hi we are waiting on P2 right now and are wondering if there is a way to check our case online. I have heard something about tracking it with your reciept #. We are applying for a CR1. Thank you.

Go to the USCIS website:

 

USCIS.GOV

 

In the right column, you will find "Case Status Online". That will take you to a link:

 

https://egov.immigration.gov/graphics/cris/....jsp?textFlag=N

 

Put in your receipt number. It should have your case info.

i haven't got a my 13# long number yet...just a bill of sale type receipt from the embassy...

Since it appears that you are filing for a CR-1, I presume that you filed with the consulate. If so, it is unlikely that you can track the status on-line.

 

With the exception of a few embassies, on-line status checks are generally only available for filings with CIS. If you are also filing for a K-3, you can check that status if you have the number which you can get off the NOA1. Otherwise, I am not aware of any on-line status checks for CR-1.
