longstrangetrip
Greetings everyone. Life is good here. My wife and I had our first child 8 months ago. Her mom got here 1year multiple entry visa and is staying with us for 6 months to help with little Lydia. We are also thinking of having her do a quick turnaround after she returns to China; coming back to the US on the same visa.Question is: will staying in the US for almost 12 months affect her chances to get a visitor visa the second time around in a year or two.Mother-in-law is 57. Divorced, two properties in China. large family in China. Retired and on a pension. Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated. Scott Link to comment
dnoblett
I dont think so, just the fact that she visited the USA and returned to China without an overstay will be in her favor. Link to comment
Randy W
She'll be more likely to get a 12 month stay next time. Seems like a long way to go just to leave the country - Canada and Mexico are much closer. Link to comment
