C4Racer
My mother-in-law from China wants to visit to see our new baby. Does anyone know how long it will take and how much it will cost to get a visitor's visa? The application fee for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa is $131.Note this is the cost of the interview, Approved or denied the cost is the same. You want to make sure she can prove strong ties to China to get approval. http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/how_to_apply.html http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/wait_times.html Wait times will vary depending on the consulate she will need to use. dnoblett
As for applying, mother in law will be filing a DS-156 to the consulate. A good guide is at the top of this forum. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8469 Link to comment
