IV announcement

China Post Delivery Of Approved Immigrant Visas Now Available To Applicants In Nine Cities Throughout China

The Immigrant Visa Unit of the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, China is pleased to announce that starting September 10, 2009, visa recipients from Beijing, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Changle, Nanjing, Wenzhou, Tianjin, Shenyang and Changchun will now have the option of the Consulate mailing the visas directly to the recipient's home address via China Post. This service will continue to be available to applicants from Guangdong province. Visa recipients also still have the option of picking up their visas in person at the designated China Post Junyuan Office, located at No.155 Tianhe Dong Road, Guangzhou. Telephone: 20-3818-8078.

Please note that applicants from outside the above-mentioned areas must, for now, continue picking up their visa packages at the China Post Junyuan Office. (We hope to expand this service to additional cities at some point in the future.)

All immigrant visa recipients must use the China Post system for return of the visas. There will be a modest charge for this visa delivery/pick-up service. Visas are typically available for pick-up within 3 business days after the interview. Details will be provided to each visa recipient on the day of their interview.

Visa Pass Back Service In Nine Cities By Courier Has Not Begun Yet

Due to unforeseen delays, visa pass back service in nine cities by courier has not begun yet. Hopefully this service will begin later this month. We will update our website as soon as this service begins. We regret any confusion.

Looks like they are ready again. Convenient for those who can't stay in Guangzhou due to work.
