Kim-saru
Anything close by the US consulate building, my room is less then a block away? It would be nice for walking distant but I don't mind taking the subway. Just getting a little bored and she doesn't want to go out 'cuz she doesn't know the area. Just wondering what there is to do while we wait for the VISA to come in the mail. Link to comment
dnoblett
CITIC building has a small mall in the ground floors. The Subway Yellow line services that area. Google maps has great details of that area listing many businesses. http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=23....010943&z=17 Link to comment
shadeOgray
Go to the Ikea building across the street from the waterfall at the end of the park. Its a large blue store front. There is 1 RMB soft serve ice cream there. Very good! and just past the Ikea building on the left as your facing it about 50 yards down then turn right and you will see a pond like area with a gazebo in it. This area is great for local foods and is very cheap. At the park under the water fall are more traditional chain stores including a star bucks and a place where you can get more western food cafe style including lasagna.
