jin01
When filling out Chinese names on forms, where it doesn't specify Last Name or First Name, but rather just Full Name, should we put Last Name first (I am thinking adding a comma after it) or First Name first and Last Name last (That might be confusing). For example, Li is the Surname, XiaoShuang is the given name. On the form, should it be: 1. Li, XiaoShuang2. Li XiaoShuang3. XiaoShuang Li ? I think #1 is the least confusing, isn't it? dnoblett
Use a comma The comma is a standard that indicates that Family name is being listed first. Or First name followed by family name. Note Li is a very common family name, and will not get confused for your given name. Link to comment
