Two more websites dedicated to social networking went offline in China on Tuesday amid tightening controls that have blocked Facebook, Twitter and other popular sites that offered many Chinese a rare taste of free expression.

Well, I couldnot get on facebook for a few days, then a friend told me a program that can get around the block. It just slows down the surffing a bit, but hey I am back on facebook. The real trouble is Chinese websites, they keep on deleting my posts and send me a warning email. THAT is annoying

And it will only get worse leading up to National Day celebrations in October.

 

It's easy to get around filetring by using either a paid VPN / proxy server or a free one. Free ones are a pain in the neck as they work sporadically or often not at all.
