Hi Cedarreefer,

 

I-134 is for K1 and K3

I-864 is for CR1

 

However, most people follow the requirements for I-864 even for the I-134.

As in you probably want to submit 3 years of tax retuns just to be on the safe side.

I-134 is for NON-Immigrant visas like K-Visas

I-864 is for IMMIGRANTS

 

I-864 WILL be used later when K-Visa holder adjusts status from NON-Immigrant to Immigrant when filing I-485 after entry to the USA and in the case of K-1 after marriage.
