Electronic filing

Has anybody filed their CR1/K-3 application via electronic filing? I am aware that USCIS offers this for some forms but does the CR1 or K-3 qualify?

It's offered for I-130's (CR's) to Guangzhou.

 

Rumor has it that the K's are also being handled more (but not entirely) electronically than before.

This is NOT an option for I-130 or I-129F in family cases.

This has to do with processing of I-129F and I-130 AFTER USCIS sends the approved petition to NVC.

Once USCIS approve you I-130 it will go to NVC and you will have choice of using electronic filling. I used the electronic filling.

The I-130 is mailed, not e-filed.

If you sign up for the electronic processing, you will receive an email containing something like the following:

 

The new case number starts with GZO (instead of GUZ) and is followed by a new set of ten numbers. This change was made to identify the case for both the NVC and the Consulate in Guangzhou as participating in electronic processing.

 

Your GUZ number is replaced with a different GZO case #. Remember that you will need to supply hard copies at the interview of all documents submitted electronically
