Fiat, Guangzhou Auto Plan

I really would like to know where Fiat is going to get the money to do these ambitous projects. Their cars are not that good and 3 years ago GM pulled away from them because of lacking ideas.

Interesting they are joining GM in building their cars in China. wonder who is next.

The Italian family that owns Fiat has plenty of money, and they know how to make more. They also owned New Holland Equipment, and a few years ago bought and merged with Case, now they own a very large % of the combined stock (50 to 70 %) of CNH. They probably backed out of the deal with GM just as they backed out of the deal in China several years ago, because they saw problems ahead. I think it would be good for any auto maker to have Fiat interested, that would mean their financial future looks good. Mike & Yizhen

I guess Gungzhou will become the new motor city. I can't wait to see if they start making music there too. Maybe a Chinese girl version of the Supremes?
