P3 and P4?

I filed an I-129f several years ago..2003 for a woman in Russia. Back then I do not remember anything about a P1-P4. they were just called Notice of Action. I understand the P1 and P2 and the P3. What I do not understand is the P4. Once the petition is recieved in GUZ they do there thing....maybe....and then send out the P3. Your girl sends it back to the embassy and then I get lost. Do they schedule the interview at this time or do they send a P4? and what is the P4. If anyone is interested. It took 8 months from the time I filed the I-129f for the woman in Russia until she was here in the USA.

 

 

11/20/08 - met online

03/09/09 - went to see her

03/20/09 - returned to US

04/03/09 - sent in I-129F

04/07/09 - recieved P1

Incase anyone is unsure...My fiancee lives in China and is wonderful. we had the best time while I was there with her and her family. I never had any of the problems with Moscow that you describe on this website with GUZ. I hope that something will be done about it soon.

IIRC, The difference between The Us Embassy in Russia and the US Consulate in Guangzhou -

 

is that the beneficiary has to have an appointment letter to get into the building in Guangzhou - and it's included in the P4 mailing.

 

For Russia (I could be wrong) - she would arrange appointment time herself with the Embassy - no 'letter' needed to get into the building.

You are almost correct. She had to have a letter to get into the embassy, but it came with the P3 packet along witht the interview date. They did not wait to recieve the P3 back before schduling the interview.

just out of curiosity... did the russian woman make it to the US? is she still here? your situation and moniker just sound interesting to me. was the other one (the first or second time) also from another country?

 

you may know this, but the short time from meeting this woman until your filing the petition will probably throw up a red flag at USCIS and once you get to GUZ

My first wife was a USC. We divorced in 1999. I filed for the woman from Russia in 2003. We divorced in Jan 2008. Yes she is still here in the US. I divorced her when I read some emails that she was sending her mother and sister that she was going to divorce me as soon as I finished paying for her school and find someone who made more money......Rich.
