Eating before the medical exam

My fiancee is wondering if she should not eat before going in for the medical exam, in case any of the bloodwork requires fasting.

It's been awhile but I don't remember any cautions about food and/or drinks before hand. Think of it more like a screening for disease versis complete workup. The wife didn't eat before only because she wanted to be there when the doors opened. We eat later was the line I got.

She should not eat. There is a blood test requires no food prior to the test.
