I-693 question...yellow book?

Recommended Posts

The yellow book is an international immunization record and will have that printed on the front. This is what is used for the I-693 supplement, which is used to document their vaccinations.

I'm not familiar with the book you are describing, the medical exam done for the visa was turned in at GUZ at the interview. Also, if the book is in Chinese it makes it more difficult for most civil surgeons to transfer. But I have heard of Chinese civil surgeons who have been known to transfer Chinese medical records for completing the form.

We got that book in a hurried trip back to Guangzhou, but I'm not sure we should have even bothered. The (Chinese) civil surgeon here didn't even want to look at it since there were no vaccinations in it. They gave her the vaccinations and wrote out the sealed supplement.

It is in chinese and english, and lists the results to various tests done. It also has a passport sized photo of each of them. When I asked about a yellow book, they did not know what I was talking about. Would it have been placed in the sealed envelope that they gave to customs?

We got ours at some other hospital in Guangzhou AFTER the interview and just carried it with us.

so.... if she does not have this yellow book, the civil surgeon will have to do another medical exam?

They shouldn't do one. If she is here on a K1 and still within the year time frame they should know that she doesn't need another exam.
