griz326
The Jesuits had to re-write the Bible to reflect Confucianism to get converts, when the Franciscans discovered the re-written Bible, they tattled to the Pope. It led to the Jesuit-Franciscan feud the exists even today. Even during Mao's reign the fundamental values Confucius taught remained evident in the people. Confucian influence was apparent to me on my first trip in 1978. It is no surprise that a fundamentally Confucian society is having a resurgence of Confucianism. Link to comment
