Visa "cooking" time

Sat Dec 13th, no visa at China Post

We hope for Monday because My plane ticket from Beijing to San Fran is for Tue Dec 16th. If I have to I will change my ticket, I won't let LiuYing be forced to fly to the States by herself. Now she is 6 1/2 months pregnant and the airlines will not let her fly after Dec 20th.

What "real" time are you getting the visa from the Post?

For us it was 2 days, Interview on a Monday, visa at PO Wed, had flight booked for Thursday.

 

You should see Monday, though I have seen longer lately.

this is the US Visa Information Service (Call Center) based in Shanghai. They can tell you if the VISA was shipped out or not. They might also tell you if there is any problem. And...

 

They are open today. Now, in fact. Close in a few hours (5 PM China Time)

 

Got a Credit Card? Can pay 55 RMB online ??? I strongly suggest you make the call, if for NO OTHER REASON -

 

to verify that there are not any problems ...

No, we deceided to wait and call China Post in the morning at 9:30 if not there, I will go to the Consulate before 10 am. If her visa is not at china post, it is still at the consulate.

Worst case, Mr. Yang will take us to the Notary at 11 am and he will ship the Visa to Liuying in Beijing. Liuying and I already changed our tickets to Beijing from last Friday to Monday the 15th in the evening. I must return to Las Vegas on the 16th. I have been

away from my Company since Nov. 16th. and everything is going to hell. Well on a positive note, this medival visa process has cost so much this year, Uncle Sams xmas gift will be much, much lower.

Now she is 6 1/2 months pregnant and the airlines will not let her fly after Dec 20th.

If she has her visa before the end of the year you could tell the airlines she is only 6 months along and get on the plane.

 

It's not likely they have proof of the conception date unless you provided a timestamped video.

No "Joy" at the China Post this morning.

Went to the Embassy, they say tomorrow

Back to the GUZ airport later today to change our tickets to Beijing, again. Now I must change my ticket to the U.S., again $280.00 twice.

We will book Liuyings' ticket after the visa is clutched firmly in my hand. I don't care about the ticket money, and Hotel money, I only care that when I go to America, my family, 1 and 1/2 people, are with me!
