manhattanmoon
On my wife's K1 visa her two-character given name were printed as two separate words (like Hong Mei, as compared to Hongmei on the passport). So, on the I-94 card, I wrote the first word as the first name and the second as the middle name. And now so is one on her SSN card. My question is when we file I-485 for AOS should we use "Hong Mei" or "Hongmei" as the first name? Since all files from the original I-129F as well as on the passport use "Hongmei" but on Visa as well as SSN card were printed as "Hong Mei"? Thanks a lot. Link to comment
newman
When I first met my wife her name spelled Xiujie. After some discussion we spelled it XiuJie. When she got her K-1 visa the name on the visa was spelled XIU JIE. On all of the filings i.e. marriage certificate, AOS, SSN, drivers license, airline tickets we use Xiu Jie and have encounter no problems what so ever. Link to comment
