timb
I seen this last night. Good Chinese family movie, and it had me laughing pretty hard. Mix of comedy, sci-fi and drama. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0940709/ Edited November 9, 2008 by timb (see edit history) Link to comment

dnoblett
CJ7 is a great movie. But you must watch it in Cantonese.Bummer! My wife would love this one but Cantonese is NOT her first language Mandarin is. Nice how Amazon just says "Chinese" as the spoken language. Checking Yes-Asia the Hong-Kong and Taiwan versions have Cantonese and Mandarin not the USA Version. http://www.yesasia.com/us/search/cj7/0-0-0...j7-en/list.html Link to comment
HKG
" To Live" the struggles of an impoverished husband and wife (Ge You and Li) from their heyday in the 1940s to the hardships that accompanied the Cultural Revolution in the 1960s. "China Cry" you may find yourself crying during this movie. Link to comment

LaurenAmber
I highly recommend "Jiang Hu: The Triad Zone" you can get the DVD from Amazon i think (I got it as a gift) and it has Mandarin or Cantonese dialogue (cantonese is the original) and Mandarin, Cantonese, or English subtitles. Great movie if you like mafia/traid/yakuza stuff and are a fan of Tarantino. It has the feel of if Tarantino was making movies in the 70's Link to comment
