frank1538
Just a reminder that the Mid Autumn Moon Festival is approaching. Last year, I sent Jingwen an animated greeting card with dancing mooncakes on it. Everybody got a laugh. Looks like another long distance festival this year. Link to comment
Mick
Believe it or not, this will be the first Mid-Autumn Festival I have spent outside of China since 1998. I always enjoyed the festival even though I am not a big fan of moon cakes. My students often gave me a plethora of moon cakes and I had many left over. Sometimes we put these in the refrigerator and kind of forgot they were there. After about three months, you can use them for hockey pucks. Link to comment

tywy_99
Also, chongyang, the double ninth (_99) festival is approaching, October 4th.It is an ancient day full of legend and magic. It is now a day for the elderly, so on that Saturday, do something good for your elders. They will love you for it and this will fill your heart full of gratitude and contentment, and there is where the magic lies. xie xie Link to comment
tonado
It is too bad August moon Festival has to be on the same day as 9/11 this year (bad memory of the WTC tragedy). Actually, tomorrow is the anniversary of my wife's interview in GZ (last year). Link to comment
