Might as well be Japanese if a spouse

or loved one has to analyze every word

she says to you in Chinglish or he says

to her in English. Real basic lack of understanding

each other at all sounds like. Nothing to do with

the subject maybe but basic communication isn't

that hard. Analyze every word you got problems.

This reminds me of the need to also know local phrases... in my wife's home town, it is common to say: ˵µã±ðµÄ°É at just the right time... when I use it, most will laugh in applause.

 

But... outside her hometown, it may not be taken the same... as, to "speak another thing (in another way)"... or "say it again or in another way".

 

Reminds me of the Rodney Dangerfield joke of visiting a doctor who says he over weight and he tells his doctor he wants a second opinion... and the doctor retorts: Your ugly as well... or something like that.

 

The meaning, if your ever in baoding: means... akin to the literal ²»¿ÍÆø.. meaning "don't stand on ceremony... don't be so formal and polite...

 

Means: speak something else [in a friendship manner, not a formal manner].

 

I have learned "don't stand on ceremony" in my lessons. It was used when a person asked your honorable family name. I can't write pinyin but it sounds a lot like the Chinese for "don't mention it"
