Two leaps back. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/21/sports/o...protest.html?hp The article somehow forgot to mention the interview with senior officials from the Public Security Ministry which stated that, in fact, these two elderly ladies were not given any type of punishment and did not appear in any lists of those sentenced to re-education. Only time will tell which version is true. If, however, the NY Times version is true, I would not be surprised at the Beijing municipal public security bureau's decision. From my dealings with them, they are certainly far less competent and far more unethical that the PSB in, say, Guangzhou. Link to comment
