Priority Date

What is the Priority date? Mine is from 2006 when I first filed my petitions. How does this affect when I get my Interview with Guz?

The priority date really means nothing in terms of an advantage to your case...

 

Here's what is in our CFL FAQ on it:

 

PRIORITY DATES:

 

"This is the date a visa number is available. By law, a number is always available for family based visas; There is no waiting list for K or CR visas.

 

K visa applicants get their priority date at the P3, but should correspond to the date of the arrival of the initial I-129f as shown on the NOA-1. Since the number is issued by the State department, it will be assigned either at NVC or GZ.

 

CR applicants get their priority date on the I-130 NOA-2. "

We just can't win can we Charles?

Seems that way. but our trials are definetly building character.

 

Expect a letter from NVC in a week or so, stating your case has been sent to Guz and it will show your Priority date..... baby steps my friends, baby steps , but we are moving towards our goal.
