I-765 Question

I mailed out the I-765 for my wife's work permit two weeks ago, but didn't receive any receipt or NOA from the BCIS yet. Also, they didn't cash my check. I am wondering how long it will take for them to send a recept back for this kind of case. I remember when i file for I-130, I got a NOA back within one week.

 

Also, do i need to fingerprint for I-765 before I file it?

Took us about six weeks to get a receipt that BCIS Atlanta had received our documents. What service center did you use?

Since my wife is K-3 visa, we send it to Chicago. The bad news is the BCIS send our application back today because there is one field i left blank. Should I complete the same form and send it out or fill out a new form then send it out?

Don't know if you get the receipt if I-765 is filed separately.

You do get a receipt when filing I-485... The "grocery store" receipt
