I thought you'd all like to know that in this case the system worked the way the law is written.

Also, at the utmost bottom part is printed:

 

UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR.

10 year green card - congratulations! The stamp is good for up to a year, until the green card arrives.
