GZBILL
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080505/lf_nm/...sQjt7udT.ZvaA8F Nothing new here. Most US franchise operations have been doing the same thing for years. Twelve years ago you could get rice in McDonald's throughout Asia. There's nothing inherently wrong with Sam Su's business philosophy, but sometimes they talke it to extremes. Take, for example, Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut in China has turned into more of a Chinese slop shop than an Italian-style pizza shop. Link to comment

david_dawei
KFC is wicked expensive here in Baoding, normally known for it's cheap food... A basic combo meal will run 25 yuan; There are some restaurants where we can probably feed 3 people for that with 4 dishes... Link to comment
Sebastian
The only thing I'll say about KFC - MAN the chicken in China and Singapore tastes better than what i've had in the usa the last 18 months. KFC changed the oil they use to be 0 g transfat in the USA, at all their places, so it doesn't taste the same. I think it tastes like @ss now, but hey. Hopefully, they won't have switched out the oil when I return to China later in the month. Link to comment
