benc
Is there a place i can call or email to correct a error on a I-129F form once it has been processed? Edited April 15, 2008 by benc (see edit history) Link to comment
dnoblett
What exactly was the error? Making changes to a petition once it is filed is nearly impossible to do with USCIS, you can usually correct things like foreign address later with NVC or Department of state. Link to comment

My SO in China had moved after I filed my CR-1. I am still waiting for my P2 now and wondering how can i get the corrected after P2? Do I just write the correct one when I fill out other forms after P2 for NVC? Thanks in advance for any replies. Link to comment

Unless it's a prior (or current) "legal" name (and not a nickname), then no need... don't complicate name issues; both should use their legally given name. Link to comment

CR1: As soon as you get P2, I'd start calling NVC to try and get it changed for DOS/GUZ... ask them if you need to do anything for USCIS. K3: If you are going to file the optional I-129F/K3 petition (and stop your CR1), then when you fill out the I-129F, put the address there. And I'd put a note with the petition that this reflects a change from the I-130 filing... Link to comment
chilton747
Some petitioners discover after the application has been sent in that their SO has another name on record with the Chinese gvt. Is this what you are referring to? Link to comment
benc
they did a check and picked up my chinese name that i really don't use anymore. that is one thing they told my SO in the interview. all my documentation have my english name on it. even my us citizenship papers. When my lawyer prepare the documents.. all my info was my english name so my lawyer put NONE on the I-129f form where it indicate if u have any other name. She put None. When the VO did a background check on me.. it show up as 3 names. so that's why i want to correct the form. I forgot to put AKA name What exactly was the error? Not disclosed on documents ? Blue slip ? White slip ? I dont think you can possibly ammend your I-129 , you wrote what you wrote. Did they ask for futher clarification/evidence or what ? Randy W
You have had your interview : YesThey discovered 3 names for you ? YesNot disclosed on documents ? YesBlue Slip - Further investigation that's all they wrote Almost all of us will have aliases that we wouldn't know about except by checking a credit report. I only reported my (formal) given name and the nickname I go by. If you got a blue slip, what did it say? They have already discovered your aliases, and submitting them again won't change anything.
