Yes it is. Jiaying, before she knew I was aware of it, also showed me an article about it in the local Chinese paper.

 

Apparently, it's big news, although it doesn't affect citizenship applications

It is related to my thread, however it is great further information as it puts some numbers around the issue. My SO falls into the >3 year category of 30,000 pending.

 

The gives me further ammo to file a motion to amend my WOM suit. I am gravely concerned that CIS has created yet another black hole.
