aries52
Hello, I'm new here and still a newbie on the whole process. I am just thinking that I am getting it down and BAM, down the ladder I go. Is there a new I-130 form out there? I read that one sends the G-325A (hers and mine) form with the I-129F. Now I am hearing that you must also send this G-325A set with the I-130 too. I am confused. Also, I have read that you can send Both the I-130 and the I-129F together. Is this true and has anyone done it with success? This is just a warm up for me. I will be going over to China in two weeks to marry my sweet heart and will start the petition when I get back. I do thank you all for any input and direction aries52 Link to comment
heyjimi
well i am fairly new too,but i sent the g325a with my I-130,and you will have to send it with the I-129 also.I don't know if you can send them in at the same time,My understanding is you can not .I read on Visa Journey, that some are sending in the I-129 Before they get their NOA1 reciept. And are actually getting the receipt to the I-129 before they get their I-130 reciept....i don't know how.be prepared for a long wait.but the wait is part of the process,God is looking down and teaching us all patience.Have a great time in China. dnoblett
The I-130 posted on USCIS website is THE newest. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD If considering K-3, consider it carefully, CR-1 (I-130 ONLY) takes as few months longer to process than K-3 (I-130 + I-129F), costs less (NO $1010 Fee to adjust status from K-3 to green-card) and no EAD card to wait for to seek work. CR-1 gets green-card upon entry, K-3 sometimes gets stuck in name-check hell waiting for green-card after paying the $1010 fee to adjust status. Link to comment

A good guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k3guide Again consider the K-3 carefully CR-1 (I-130 only) has been taking not much longer than K-3 to get, and has the benefit of no adjustment of status. You can use VJ to compare the processing times. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ (Select K-3 advanced, filter for China, and sort by interview date, then do the same for CR-1) http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...na&dfile=No (K-3)http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...na&dfile=No (CR-1) Edited December 10, 2007 by dnoblett (see edit history) Link to comment
