Guest Mike and Lily
Priority mail. I put the forms into a manila envelope and labeled it "I-485 Original submission", then placed that envelope into the one provided by the post office. Link to comment
IllinoisDave
Thanks to all. Priority Mail seems the way to go. I like the idea of putting it into a manila envelope as well. Link to comment
I love Sunshine
It seems like people don't have the urgency or zeal about the I-485 petition that they had about their original visa filing. One can understand that once you are with your SO, you have what you want, and the other items will come in (reasonably) due time. Just an observation here, but do others agree or disagree? LeeFisher3
The main thing is to get some form of delivery receipt. With the extreme delays in people getting their I-797C receipts for filing a return receipt gives you proof that it arrived in the event of any question in the future by the USCIS, who NEVER looses anything. No,I wrote the check for $1010. Am I missing something? Are you testing me? That's what I thought the amount is, not $1050. I've got the packet ready to seal and take to the post office tomorrow.
