tonado
My future mom-in-law said people leaving Guangxi(Nanning) are required to take a medical physical 3days prior to leaving (from watching the news). I knowthe USA doesn't require this but it may be Chineserequirement. Any truth to this? My fiancee will be leaving China soon and I amwondering if this physical is necessary. Link to comment
tonado
I just talked to my fiancee and she said the exam will be done at the place where they do marriage (not hospital). I think they just want to earn some money from people leaving Nanning. Link to comment
Jatuke
I don't believe it's required, but when you do apply for the I-485 the beneficiary will need to take the vaccination and immunization shots. The Foreigners hospital on Shamien Island told us that it was 'we should take the shots in China, because it will be cheaper than the U.S.', but we opted not to do it. Link to comment
owenkrout
Not necessary as far as the US is concerned. Not necessary in Liaoning Province but in China there is actually less national government control than in the US. It is possible for a provincial government to make such a requirement and enforce it. I have not heard of any such requirement anywhere in China. The requirement comes from certain destination countries which do require a SARS free health certificate for entry, Switzerland, for example. Link to comment
Guest R2D2
Guangxi Province is an autonomous Province, like Nam used to be and Mongolia is. Hard to say without checking with the People's Party Congress in Nanning. Link to comment
